New Security/Safety Glass Windows and Doors: PVC clad, steel, C-channel profiles manufactured by Krombeplast. The German hardware is stainless steel manufactured by Roto-frank and the glass is from Pilkington in the U.S. The glass is laminated hurricane-rated glass with a core of plastic for safety. The total thickness of the glass is ¼”. Made to order at the Formas Europeas factory in Guatemala.
New Garage Door: Electric metal CHI metal garage door with a ½ hp Liftmaster motor.
New Whole House Water Purification System: Three-stage water purification system with a 20” – 20 micron sediment filter, a 20” carbon filter to remove organics, taste and odor, and a 20” UV purification system that kills any bacteria small enough to get through the filters.
New Air Conditioning: High Efficiency Multi-split 21+ SEER air.
Foundation: Reinforced 20-year-old wooden pillars.
Patio: New concrete patio off of guest suite.
Improved Cistern and Water Collection System: Improved water collection system to the 10,000 gallon cistern. All new gutters and support brackets. Four additional downspouts (two into the cistern). Leaf collector removal valves on all water spouts for easy cleaning. Additional cistern overflow pipe into backyard. Cistern has been cleaned and lined with two coats of Hydroseal. New fiberglass hatch. New brass hose bibs.
Electric: Restructured and upgraded electric throughout the house with new panel box, pole and wiring. Timer on electric water to decrease costs/improve efficiency.
Gas: New gas installation and tank
Connectivity: New Coax for TV and CAT 5 for access points and TVs
